The Chadron Rotary George Watson Holiday Basketball classic brings 8 high school teams to Chadron State College each December.

The Tournament is named after long-time Rotarian George Watson, who passed away in 2010 from pancreatic cancer.

The World Championship Buffalo Chip Toss is held the Saturday of Fur Trade Days in July. Starting following the parade at Court House square, contestants compete for a truly unique trophy and bragging rights to throwing a buffalo chip the furthest.

Chadron Rotary organizes several blood drives throughout the year benefitting local and regional hospitals and their patients. Follow us on social media for upcoming dates.

Chadron Rotary annually purchases dictionaries to distribute to regional third grade students. The dictionaries provide a life-long resource and are given to students along Highway 20 and schools on the Pine Ridge Reservation.

Chadron Rotary has been a supporter of the Northwest Nebraska Trails organization financially and through volunteer work increasing the trails network in our region.

Chadron Rotary annually awards multiple scholarships to students attending Chadron State College.
